It is the philosophy of the staff of Little Critters Pediatric Dentistry to promote good oral health and instill in each child and parent the highest level of trust in the services we provide. Our goal is to foster a community of children understanding the importance of good dental care in a fun, relaxed environment, through our routine dental care, dental treatments, and sedation dentistry.
Pediatric Dentistry
As pediatric dental specialists, our office environment is intended to be a safe and happy place for your child. Our motto is “Dream Big, Smile Bright!” Different from other dental offices, with televisions on the ceiling, fun prizes for each child, a child-specific waiting area, and services geared specifically for each individual child patient, we hope to build a community of children confident and happy for their dental appointments!
Each parent is encouraged to contact our office for any questions or concerns they may have regarding their child’s dental care. Our office policies will be made available upon request or at your first appointment. Making children smile is our priority.
Special Needs Dentistry
Your infant, child, or teen deserves the best possible care and attention. It all starts with recognizing individual needs. We understand that everyone is different and we address each patient on an individual basis. We go beyond traditional dental care by addressing your specific needs and those of your family and friends.

Routine Dental Care
According to the ADA and the AAPD your child’s first visit should be by his/her first birthday to provide a Well-Baby Dental Visit.
Regular dental exams and cleanings are the foundation for maintaining your child’s dental health. Our friendly staff place an emphasis on prevention of dental disease and education of the parent and child in these visits. Counseling on diet, hygiene, and trauma prevention are emphasized with an emphasis on prevention, dental sealants, fluoride treatments, mouth-guards, and interceptive orthodontic care are provided.
In addition to the regular routine care, when dental problems arise, we provide restorations (fillings and crowns), primary tooth nerve therapy, tooth extractions, and space maintenance as needed.
Sedation Dentistry
Our friendly staff have extensive experience in coaching your child through each visit. We are here to promote a positive attitude towards dental visits. When fear and anxiety of dental care require more than communication can provide, Dr. Ticola has years of experience providing Nitrous Oxide (Laughing Gas) Sedation, Oral Conscious Sedation, and the use of General Anesthesia services to assist your child through any needed dental care depending on the specific needs of each child.
We are now able to offer treatment at our office under IV sedation with the partnership of Pediatric Dental Anesthesia Associates (PDAA).
